Terms of Use
The ground rules for using this site: what it is, what it is not, and what you may do with it.
Effective October 4, 2026 Applies to Counsel and the OMC network
What this site is
This policy covers Counsel, published at law.omc.center, and every other site published by Omni Mundi Compendium.
Omni Mundi Compendium is an independent publisher of general educational material. It is not a law firm, an insurance agency, a broker, a bank, an investment adviser, a medical practice or a government body, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, the remedy is simple: do not use the site.
No professional advice
Everything here is general information written for a general audience. It is not advice for your situation, and reading it creates no professional relationship of any kind — no attorney-client relationship, no advisory or fiduciary relationship, and no duty of care to you.
- Law content is not legal advice. Statutes, court rules and deadlines differ between states and between federal circuits, and they change.
- Insurance content is not insurance advice and recommends no policy or insurer. Coverage, exclusions and claim decisions are governed by the policy you actually buy.
- Money content is not investment, tax or accounting advice. All investing carries risk, including loss of principal.
- Health and psychology content is not medical or psychological advice and is no substitute for care from a licensed clinician.
Before you act on anything you read here — sign something, file something, cancel something, buy something — talk to a licensed professional in your own jurisdiction. That is not a legal formality; it is the whole point.
Accuracy, currency and no warranty
We try to be accurate, and each article names its sources and the date on which it was published and last updated. We do not warrant that any page is accurate, complete or current. Rules, prices, thresholds and agency procedures change on their own schedule, and in a field like this the article that was right last year is the one most likely to mislead you now.
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Always check the primary source — the statute, the agency page, the policy document — before relying on a figure or a deadline. We link to those sources so that you can.
Our process for checking facts, and its limits, are described in the editorial policy. It is a real process and it is not a guarantee.
What you may do with this content
- You may read, print and share links to any page, for personal and non-commercial use.
- You may quote a short passage with attribution and a working link back to the page you took it from.
- You may not republish substantial parts of an article, mirror or frame the site, or harvest its content in bulk by automated means, without written permission.
- You may not present our content as your own, or as the work of a professional adviser you are not.
Reuse requests go to editor@omc.center. We are usually happy to say yes to reasonable ones.
Intellectual property
The text of this site is © 2026 omc.center, all rights reserved, except where the material comes from elsewhere.
U.S. federal government works are not subject to copyright in the United States (17 U.S.C. §105), and we quote or link to them on that basis. Names, logos and marks belonging to other organisations — including government agencies, insurers and companies mentioned in articles — remain the property of their owners and are used here for identification and comment only. Any such use implies no affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement, and none exists.
Advertising
Advertising on this site is served by Google. We do not sell ad placements directly, do not choose which advertisers appear, and do not run sponsored articles, paid placements, or affiliate links in our content. An advertisement appearing next to an article is not an endorsement of the advertiser by us — and it is not a signal that the advertiser influenced the article either.
How cookies from advertising work, and how to turn off personalized advertising, is described in the privacy policy.
Links to other sites
We link to official sources and to other third-party sites because they are useful. We do not control them, we do not monitor their content continuously, and a link is not an endorsement. If you follow one, that site's own terms and privacy policy apply.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this network and the people who operate it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost opportunity, arising out of your use of the site or your reliance on anything published on it — whether the claim is framed in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, and even if we were advised that such damage was possible.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited where you live. Where a jurisdiction does not allow some part of these terms, that part does not apply to you and the rest still does.
Availability and changes
This site is offered free of charge and as-is. We may add, revise, move or remove any page at any time, and we may take the site offline for maintenance or discontinue any part of it, without notice and without liability. We are under no obligation to keep any particular article available, or to keep its URL unchanged.
These terms may be revised. The revision date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and the version in force is the one published here at the time you use the site.
Governing law
These terms are to be read under the laws applicable to the publisher, together with any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Nothing here designates an exclusive forum for disputes, and nothing here waives a right you cannot waive.
